by Joan C.

NAME: Horatio Hornblower

LIVING ARRANGEMENT: Cabin on the HMS Indefatigable

FAVORITE PASTIME: A game of whist, or reading

FAVORITE BOOK: The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire by Gibbon (No,
Archie, not Clarke's Seamanship or Principles of Navigation.)

THE WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: Failure and loss.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNING: What will
happen to make my life more difficult today? What problems will I face,
and how will I solve them?

BATTLE: SCARY OR EXCITING: Exciting -- a challenge to use my wits and
training to the best of my ability.

FAVORITE FOODS: Well-prepared beef or lamb, potatoes, fresh vegetables.

CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA: Either, I am ashamed to admit to a sweet tooth.

STORMS, COOL OR SCARY: Much like battle, but on a grander scale.

FAVORITE DRINK: Coffee

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE: I would
have my mother living, and spend more time with my father.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE: I would

the contents about to be spilled.

WHAT'S IN YOUR ANXIETY CLOSET: Failure and loneliness.

WHAT'S YOUR LOFTIEST DREAM: To be a man like Captain Pellew.

WHAT'S YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE: That I shall never be a man like Captain
Pellew.

WHAT DO YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU THAT YOU FEEL THEY DON'T: That I am
vulnerable, and feel pain like any other man. And for some reason, they
don't believe I have a sense of humour.
