LIVING ARRANGEMENT: Crummy little cell, El Ferrol, Spain, with
Acting Lt. Hornblower, who seems to think everything is a challenge
that "will make success that much more satisfying;" and MidshipMAN
Archie Kennedy, who seems to sleep a lot...

FAVORITE PASTIME: Sharpening rocks for later use as weapons;
sneering; home sangria-making.

FAVORITE BOOK: Well, it's NOT Don Quixote!!!

THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: Getting out of here...

THE WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: Knowing that if your Captain
ignores your advice, you're going to sail straight into a nest of
Dons, and there's not a thing you can do about it... I mean, *I* need
validation TOO sometimes!!

That some kid half my age could end up outranking me, and getting us
all stuck HERE! What kind of a world IS it, ANYway, that rewards
people who get their ship dismasted, Dover cliffs on the lee; and yet
won't recognise MY natural leadership qualities!! Did they all run
after HIM?? Nooo...they followed ME!!

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE: My
bloody RANK!!! (Not to mention my uneeform... I think I've been 'ere
too long...)

my mind, it's the fear that we may end up sitting out the war here,
and I'll never get a chance to prove myself in battle... A man was
not meant to sit about -- a man has to DO something with his life! A
man ALSO shouldn't be talking about this sort of thing, but now
you've gone and dragged it out of me... Ahhh...anything for a foine
beauty like yerself...

WHAT'S YOUR LOFTIEST DREAM: To return to my ship and fight for my
country...

What my hair looks like when it's *clean*! I don't know what it IS
about this place -- here one day and already it's gone flat! You
should SEE the things they're saying about me on that bloody A&E
message board!!
